probably unconnected thoughts

+I fell asleep in the park
and listened to the sound of worms snoring beneath the surface
like the soft rumbling thoughts of the earth.

+on Halloween we played at bobbing for soju (Korean vodka). the kids seemed to take to that well. and spoke better English after a few rounds they did too. no. i made that up. they spoke worse.

+if I have a child I will name him or her “A disaster waiting to happen” (“Dis” for short) and raise them Buddhist so that if they ever do anything that displeases me I can sigh deeply and say in a low voice: “maybe if you are lucky you will be reincarnated as something nice.”

+my student doesn’t know her birthdate because her mum changed it after the fortune teller said she was born on an un-lucky day
